Looking for reliable student health insurance plan in Pennsylvania USA..?
Hi, I am not a US citizen but i am going lancaster USA to study for a year. Is looking for health insurance plan, I have googled and I was overwhelmed by the huge list of insurance plans offered by so many companies. My question is which is one of the best and most trustable student insurance plan offered in pennsylvania. I have some worries over buying plan from the internet website as I have no idea which is reliable. Please recommend me an international student health insurance plan. Or a health insurance company that is reliable in pennsylvania state. Many thanks.

I recommend Assurant Health. You may Google it, then on their website do a search for a local agent, or call the company and ask how to find a local agent.

Look at some of the links here. You will want to investigate carefully since this is an area that can be tricky and not all companies are as honest as others. The university might have options that have been pre-screened for you as well. A call to the admissions office, student health center, or international student office would probably be a good place to start asking if that kind of thing is available to you through the school.
Hope you have a good school year and never need to worry about using your insurance!

If you are in college, you may want to check out health insurance programs that are written through your school. United Healthcare has a plan available at many US schools. These student injury and illness plans provide wide ranging coverage and are designed to be affordable for college students. To check if your school is participating, go to http://www.UHCSR.com and enter your school name in the search box. You might also be interested in joining the American College Student Association (ACSA), a national organization for college students. They have lots of member benefits, including student health insurance. Their membership fee is affordable. Look for their “international” plan.
