How much on average does self-employment health insurance cost?
I am currently covered by an employer group plan, but I may be laid off soon . I’m considering doing consulting work. I don’t want to solicit quotes from insurance companies, because I don’t need the aggravation of the “hard sell”. If a few people can tell me what their paying, then I can at least get a rough idea. Thanks.

You will probably pay less via COBRA through your old company than on your own. In NJ, It is costing me about 14K per year for family coverage via Horizon BL Cross.
