How can I get health insurance if I’m 21 in college in NYS, unemployed?
In Western NY, I don’t have health insurance. Last year, I made <10k. Don’t live with my Mom. She makes <10k a year, also. (Sicko has made me nervous.) I’m a sophomore, will be attending again in the fall, attended this past spring, didn’t attend in Fall 06 or Spring 06. All university students get some healthcare from my school but I don’t think it’s very good because I want to go to some specialists and see a dentist. What are my options? Thank you for your help! (I am currently looking for a job.)
Mom doesn’t have insurance either

If your mom has insurance, she can add you to her plan as long as you are a full time student and under 24. Otherwise, I’m sure there is some kind of state-assisted healthcare plan that you can apply for.
