can I get individual health insurance with ear congestion?
Question by RameelRaymundo: can I get individual health insurance with ear congestion?
I’m about to leave my job and go to school fulltime and considering individual monthly health plans like Anthem by Blue Cross, etc. I have a pre-existing problem where I get congested ears and I am on the prescription nasal/spray allergy medication Flonase. Will this affect me trying to get individual insurance?

It might make it more expensive, but you won’t be denied.

You can get the insurance but they won’t cover any of you pre existing conditions for up to 1 year.
The sooner you get the insurance though the sooner you can get coverage, if you wait cause you believe that you’ll just buy the Flonaise on your own then you’ll of course have to still wait to get your coverage for any pre existing conditions later. Some clinics although you have insurance will often give away free samples that are equal to the perscription you already get for free, just tell them your situation and they’ll usually work with you. You new insurance plan will cover their percentage usually after you met your deductable.

you should be able to get approved for you own plan. some carriers may rate you up (charge a little more) because of your condition. you’ll want to pick a plan that has benefits for brand name drugs.
check out http://usdirecthealthinsurance.com/ for some options. they offer the lowest rates on health insurance and free advice from licensed agents.
